As a Sales Development Representative, you will prospect and qualify new business opportunities with senior decision-makers across the UK and Ireland. Working collaboratively with experienced Sales Account Executives, you will introduce GoCardless to new customers, identify their pain points, uncover opportunities, and grow the pipeline through email outreach, LinkedIn messaging, video calls, and phone outreach. The role involves researching and identifying relevant stakeholders in the sales decision-making process.
While prior sales experience is beneficial (recruitment, property sales, B2B, B2C, or customer-facing roles), it is not required. GoCardless provides comprehensive training to develop expertise in the value proposition and market. The role offers a clear growth path within tech/SaaS sales, with opportunities to progress into a closing Account Executive role and eventually leadership positions.
You will join an established, high-performing, and collaborative SDR team that consistently exceeds targets. Key responsibilities include maintaining activity tracking in Salesforce, nurturing prospects through to fully qualified leads, and thinking creatively about customer engagement strategies. The ideal candidate is highly motivated to maximize activity and overachieve targets, possesses an entrepreneurial mindset, and demonstrates hunger to succeed. Experience with Salesforce, start-ups, or FinTech is beneficial but not required.
GoCardless offers adaptive working arrangements, a work-away scheme allowing up to 90 days outside your country of residence annually, comprehensive wellbeing support and medical cover, and parental leave benefits.
