As a Sales Development Representative at Datadog, you will prospect, qualify, and generate customer leads to support the company's business growth. You'll partner with internal stakeholders to help IT and technology innovators recognize Datadog's impact on their digital transformation and cloud migration initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating cross-functionally with various Datadog teams to align on sales strategy
- Driving initial prospect qualification and scheduling discovery meetings
- Developing, presenting, and implementing strategies for acquiring new business
- Conducting outbound outreach through cold calling and email to prospective customers
- Learning and applying a well-defined sales methodology to identify customer needs
You should be motivated by a sales career, possess innate curiosity and a desire to learn, communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and be comfortable learning from rejection. While not all qualifications need to be met on day one, passion for technology and a growth mindset are essential.
