Salary: USD 250,000 - 315,000 / annual
LangChain is hiring a Sales Development Director to lead and scale their founding SDR team. The company builds developer infrastructure for AI agents, with a platform including LangSmith (observability, evaluation, deployment) and open-source frameworks. They've raised $125M at Series B and count 5 of the Fortune 10 and 35% of the Fortune 500 as customers.
In this role, you'll own the performance, coaching, and development of the SDR team while designing the systems and processes that power their go-to-market motion. You'll lead SDRs responsible for generating qualified pipeline from technical buyers, converting high inbound interest into opportunities, and working closely with sales and marketing teams.
Key responsibilities include: leading and coaching the SDR team on activity metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline creation; recruiting and growing SDR talent; developing team members through call reviews and structured feedback; building repeatable outbound and inbound qualification playbooks; partnering with marketing to convert inbound demand; aligning with sales leadership and RevOps on target accounts and territories; implementing systems and workflows to improve productivity; and using data to continuously improve funnel conversion.
You'll need 5-10 years of sales development experience with 3+ years managing SDRs or leading a sales development team. You should be comfortable with technical products and developer audiences, experienced with modern GTM tooling (AI agents, LinkedIn Sales Nav, power dialers), highly data-driven, passionate about coaching early-career talent, and able to thrive in fast-moving environments where processes are still evolving.
