Salary: USD 250,000 - 315,000 / annual
LangChain is hiring a Sales Development Director to lead and scale their founding SDR team in New York. The company builds the foundation for agent engineering, offering a platform (LangSmith) for building, evaluating, deploying, and operating AI agents at scale. With $125M raised at Series B from top-tier VCs (IVP, Sequoia, Benchmark, CapitalG, Sapphire Ventures), LangChain has achieved significant traction: 100M+ monthly open-source downloads, 6,000+ active LangSmith customers, and adoption by 5 of the Fortune 10 and 35% of the Fortune 500.
In this role, you will lead and coach a team of SDRs responsible for generating qualified pipeline from technical buyers and converting high inbound interest into opportunities. You'll own SDR performance metrics including activity, conversion rates, pipeline creation, and attainment. Key responsibilities include recruiting and developing SDR talent through coaching and structured feedback, building repeatable outbound and inbound qualification playbooks, partnering with marketing to convert inbound demand, aligning with sales leadership and RevOps on target accounts and territories, implementing systems and workflows to improve productivity, and using data to continuously optimize performance across the funnel.
You bring 5-10 years of sales development experience with 3+ years managing SDRs or leading a sales development team. You're comfortable with technical products and developer audiences, experienced with modern GTM tooling (AI agents, LinkedIn Sales Nav, power dialers), highly data-driven, passionate about coaching early-career talent, and thrive in fast-moving environments where processes are still evolving. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Compensation is $250,000-$315,000 OTE plus meaningful equity. Benefits include medical, dental, vision coverage, flexible vacation, 401(k), and meals on in-office days.
