Pico is a global financial technology company providing market data services and managed infrastructure solutions to the capital markets community. We operate across multiple jurisdictions with offices in New York, Chicago, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
As a Sales Associate, you will be a key member of our sales team, serving as a primary point of contact for prospective and existing clients in the financial markets space, including Tier 1 investment banks, trading firms, market makers, and technology vendors. You will report to the Head of Sales, AMRS and/or Sales Manager.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
- Researching and qualifying new leads via telephone and email
- Serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, handling administrative, technical, and business inquiries
- Maintaining accurate account plans and opportunity information in Salesforce, Confluence, and SharePoint
- Collaborating with product, engineering, and sales teams to understand client requirements and win business
- Building proposals and delivering customized value propositions
- Gathering requirements and communicating Pico's products, services, and differentiation
- Interacting with stakeholders at all levels, from junior staff to C-suite executives
- Identifying decision makers and building long-term client relationships
- Contributing to competitive intelligence and industry trend analysis
- Managing pipeline and growing monthly recurring revenue within assigned accounts
- Participating in team meetings, forums, and training sessions
You will interact with clients across multiple geographies (EMEA, USA, APAC) and may travel occasionally. The role requires strong project management, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year university
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in financial technology services with account relationship experience supporting large banks
- Practical experience in sales, account management, financial markets, or securities industry
- Proficiency with Salesforce, MS Office, SharePoint, and JIRA preferred
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize and multitask
- Team player with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable with escalation and advocating for both company and client interests
