Salary: USD 118,000 - 123,000 / annual

As a Risk Operations Specialist, you will be a critical operator of Parafin's product suite, ensuring a positive experience for small business users. You'll develop operational solutions to evaluate complex business risk issues in a fast-paced environment, troubleshoot payment issues with merchants, and work cross-functionally with customer support, data science, compliance, and engineering teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing operational solutions to evaluate complex business risk issues
- Automating and streamlining operations processes, building in-house solutions or identifying external vendors
- Conducting risk assessments for high-priority merchants
- Troubleshooting and resolving payment issues via email and phone
- Managing cross-functional work streams to improve merchant experience and grow capital originations
- Reviewing processes and providing feedback on product operations improvements
- Working with partners to identify risk areas and investigate fraudulent behavior
- Using data-driven analysis to identify optimization and growth opportunities
Requirements:
- 3–5 years of work experience
- 2–3 years of operational experience in a fintech startup, bank, or payments company
- Strong understanding of payments
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong quantitative and detail-oriented background
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with fraud/risk management
- Understanding of or desire to learn capital or lending products
- Fluency in or desire to learn data analysis tools such as SQL, R, or Python
