Salary: USD 166,000 - 220,000 / annual
Anduril Industries is seeking a Radio Frequency Machine Learning (RFML) Operations Lead to lead advanced R&D initiatives in RF sensing, signal processing, and wireless systems. This is a people-management role leading a team of RFML engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and mentor a team of RFML engineers, developing strategic vision for integrating machine learning into RF sensing and wireless communication systems
- Design and develop advanced RFML models for applications including RF spectrum sensing, channel equalization and estimation, and channel modeling
- Provide deep technical expertise in wireless systems, particularly 5G, to inform algorithm and model development while maintaining latency and compute constraints
- Identify and solve complex signal processing and wireless systems challenges using advanced RFML techniques
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, managing resources, timelines, and risks
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
Required qualifications:
- PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with focus on RFML, signal processing, or wireless systems
- 7+ years of experience in related field
- Strong background in wireless communications and digital signal processing
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage engineering teams with track record of successful project delivery
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Deep understanding of RF sensing, statistical signal processing, and wireless systems trends, particularly 5G
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance
- Some travel required
Preferred qualifications include experience managing entire RFML engineering lifecycle (data capture through system optimization), real-time signal processing, DSP platforms, production-level code (Python, C++), and Software Defined Radios.
