Abridge is an AI-powered healthcare platform that transforms patient-clinician conversations into structured clinical notes in real-time. The company serves hundreds of health systems and is expanding into a multi-product platform. You will own revenue and technical accounting for Abridge's most complex customer arrangements, and design agentic AI systems that enable a lean team to scale this work. The role has three core components: **Revenue Accounting:** Own the revenue accounting that feeds monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes, including complex revenue entries, deferred revenue rollforwards, and revenue flux reviews. Review complex new and amended customer contracts to identify performance obligations, determine transaction price, and allocate standalone selling prices. Partner with the FinOps Lead on standard subscription setups and serve as the escalation point for complicated contracts. Own accounting for customer consideration payable, including service credits and equity-based customer incentives such as warrants, with quarterly assessments of milestone probability. Maintain standalone selling price analysis and own accounting for partner revenue-share arrangements and capitalized contract costs. **Technical Accounting & Research:** Research and draft decision-ready memos on pre-IPO accounting questions including stock-based compensation, financings and preferred stock, M&A and purchase accounting, and equity-based customer incentives. Settle technical positions ahead of audits in partnership with Big 4 auditors and external advisors. Keep revenue recognition and related accounting policies current as new products, pricing models, and transactions emerge. Translate complex accounting into plain language for commercial, product, and executive stakeholders. **Agentic Systems Design:** Design and build agentic systems that ingest new and amended agreements, extract pricing and terms, and draft accounting treatment and entries for review. Define end-to-end workflows including where agents do work, where people review, controls, audit trails, and exception paths. Co-own oversight of the revenue agent with the FinOps Lead. Partner with the Systems team on data flow from Salesforce and contract management systems into the ERP. Apply the same approach to technical research with agents that pull guidance and draft first-pass memos. **Audit Readiness:** Serve as primary point of contact for Big 4 auditors on revenue and technical accounting. Draft revenue and technical accounting sections of annual financial statements and footnotes. Design and document key controls over revenue, including controls around agentic systems, as the company builds toward public-company readiness. You will report to the Senior Manager of Revenue & Technical Accounting and work closely with the GL Accounting Manager, FinOps Lead, Systems, RevOps, Legal, Deal Desk, and external auditors. The team is automation- and agentic-first, building internal apps, agents, and workflows to keep pace with fast scaling. **Requirements:** - Big 4 foundation: Assurance or Accounting Advisory experience at a Big 4 firm at Senior to Manager level (direct Big 4 transition acceptable; some private-industry experience is a plus) - Active CPA license - Very strong technical foundation with exposure across revenue recognition (ASC 606), stock-based compensation, financings, M&A, and leases - Hands-on ASC 606 experience in any industry - Demonstrated ability to write technical memos that auditors accepted, or experience evaluating technical memos as an auditor, with comfort defending positions to Big 4 engagement teams - Builder mindset (required): experience building apps, scripts, or automations, or eagerness to build agentic AI workflows. Advanced Excel/Google Sheets and working knowledge of SQL, Python, or AI tools helpful - Systems thinking: ability to design workflows end-to-end including data, controls, and exception handling - Strong communication skills to explain complex accounting conclusions concisely **Bonus qualifications:** - Private-industry experience owning revenue recognition at high-growth SaaS, AI, or tech companies - Built apps, agents, or automations used by others - Worked through stock-based compensation, financings, or M&A at pre-IPO or recently public companies - Applied ASC 718 to warrants or equity instruments issued to customers or partners - Experience with ASC 842, ASC 340-40, or purchase accounting (ASC 805) - Led or supported ERP or revenue-system implementations - Worked with health systems or enterprise customers operating under master agreements with statements of work - Exposure to IPO readiness, SOX, or SEC reporting
