Plaid is seeking a Revenue Operations Accountant to own the operating layer of the order-to-cash process, translating signed customer agreements into accurate billing configurations, invoices, reconciliations, and financial records. You'll review order forms and commercial terms, configure customer billing arrangements, run monthly invoice cycles, process billing adjustments and credit memos, and reconcile activity across NetSuite and Salesforce. The role involves resolving billing questions from cross-functional partners, supporting month-end close activities, and helping move the team from manual execution toward automated, scalable, and well-controlled processes. Key responsibilities include validating pricing and billing terms in closed-won contracts, configuring customer billing arrangements on time, running and supporting monthly customer invoice cycles, reconciling invoice data between billing systems and NetSuite, processing billing adjustments and contract changes, resolving billing inquiries from GTM and partner teams, supporting month-end close through AR reconciliations and variance analysis, maintaining documentation for audit support, and identifying process and automation improvements. You'll work at the intersection of commercial deal execution, billing, accounting, and financial reporting, partnering closely with Commercial, RevOps, Legal, Billing Engineering, Business Technology, Strategic Finance, and the broader Accounting organization. The team's mission is to protect revenue integrity, build customer trust, and create systems and processes that enable Plaid to scale. This role offers broad experience across billing operations, accounting systems, revenue recognition, and cross-functional finance, with room to grow into greater ownership as the function scales. Required qualifications include 2–5 years of experience in billing, order management, revenue operations, accounts receivable, accounting operations, or related order-to-cash functions; a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; experience in SaaS, software, fintech, or complex B2B billing environments; experience reviewing commercial contracts and customer billing terms; strong spreadsheet and data-reconciliation skills; and excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred qualifications include NetSuite and Salesforce experience, Big Four accounting background, familiarity with usage-based billing and revenue recognition, and experience automating finance processes.
