Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual

Anduril Industries is seeking a Research Scientist to develop state-of-the-art algorithms and software for battlespace awareness systems. You will work in a small, innovative team to create mathematically principled solutions to complex information science problems with real-world military applications. Key responsibilities include: - Contributing technical direction and expertise to guide team strategy - Developing advanced algorithms for sensor fusion, computer vision, and autonomous systems - Prototyping state-of-the-art solutions in an agile environment - Implementing high-performance software across tactical systems and web applications - Using modeling, simulation, and flexible compute clusters to validate technology benefits - Engaging directly with government and industry customers to ensure mission success - Communicating complex technical concepts to both expert and non-expert audiences Required qualifications: - M.S. or Ph.D. in Applied/Computational Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Controls and Dynamical Systems, Aerospace Engineering, Statistics, or related field - Proficiency in Rust, C++, and Python - Strong background in applied mathematics (differential equations, linear algebra, numerical analysis, optimization) - Experience with controls, estimation theory, digital signal processing, and machine learning - Expertise in scientific computing: software design, algorithm implementation, testing, and optimization - Knowledge of probability, statistics, and random processes - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance Anduril's Lattice OS platform powers the company's family of systems with AI-driven command and control capabilities.
