As a Relationship Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of SME customers, building deep trust and understanding of their business ambitions and goals. You will support customers through Allica Bank's suite of products including Business Current Accounts, Savings Accounts, Commercial Loans, Asset Finance, and Working Capital Facilities. Key responsibilities include: - Managing a portfolio of SME customers and identifying opportunities to support them through Allica's services and external advisor networks - Originating SME lending opportunities from initial enquiry through completion, including writing credit papers aligned with Allica's credit policy - Delivering the business plan for your local area and actively managing personal objectives and development - Representing Allica professionally in your community, ensuring excellent service for customers, prospects, and advisors - Collaborating across all areas of Allica to deliver seamless, professional service - Contributing positively to Allica's culture and values - Maintaining compliance with all mandatory policies and operational procedures The role carries a requirement for new business acquisition as the bank continues to grow. You will build and maintain a strong network of trusted SME advisors such as accountants, solicitors, and business organizations, positioning yourself as a valued partner and expert in business finance. Requirements: - Highly capable Relationship Manager and Business Developer with a proven long-term track record of building high-value, trust-based, and long-lasting referral relationships - Strong understanding of SME banking with a background in commercial lending (required) - Demonstrated history of exemplary customer service and maximizing value with prospects and customers - Passion for SMEs, self-starter mentality, and entrepreneurial mindset - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with evidence of strong career progression and/or outperformance - Proven ability to work with customers, colleagues, and advisors to structure new lending proposals and write credit applications - Track record in providing excellent customer service and generating new income opportunities while managing credit risk effectively - Ability to analyze and review financial accounts and associated information
