Salary: USD 98,800 - 143,350 / annual
Moody's is seeking an experienced Relationship Manager for its Asset Management sales division, based in Chicago or New York. This role focuses on driving growth and deepening strategic relationships with large asset managers across the United States and Canada.
You will manage a portfolio of large strategic asset management clients, developing long-term relationships that support revenue growth and retention. Key responsibilities include identifying and prospecting new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships through cross-sell and up-sell initiatives, conducting sales presentations, leading commercial discussions, and negotiating contracts with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate deep understanding of client investment priorities, decision-making processes, and business requirements across the Private Credit ecosystem. You'll collaborate with sales specialists, solution experts, and industry practitioners to deliver comprehensive client solutions, maintain accurate forecasts and pipeline data, and meet established revenue targets while defending and expanding existing revenue streams.
Travel up to 40% is expected, including representation at industry conferences, client events, and company-sponsored programs.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of experience selling into large asset managers or complex solution-selling environments, proven ability to influence key decision makers throughout the full sales cycle, strong presentation and negotiation skills, and outstanding client relationship management experience. You must have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
Demonstrated proficiency in AI concepts and hands-on experience using AI tools to streamline workflows is required, along with awareness of AI risk management and commitment to responsible AI use. Strong oral and written communication skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work both independently and within a team are essential.
