The Regulatory Compliance Manager (Safeguarding) role sits within Revolut's Compliance team, which combines regulatory expertise with data-driven thinking to ensure products meet legal requirements while managing conduct risk in a fast-moving digital environment. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient control processes to ensure compliance with client asset protection requirements. Key responsibilities include: • Designing and implementing control processes for client asset protection compliance • Providing technical advice on safeguarding compliance to business and support functions, promoting regulatory awareness across the firm • Interpreting and advising on the application of safeguarding regulations to products and services • Supporting the Client Assets Oversight Officer with risk management and governance activities • Reviewing client money and custody asset reconciliation outputs and producing effectiveness reports • Coordinating and managing internal and external audits and reviews related to safeguarding compliance This is a hands-on role requiring deep regulatory knowledge, strong project management, and the ability to translate complex compliance requirements into practical controls. You'll work across multiple business functions and interact with both internal teams and external auditors. REQUIREMENTS: • 3+ years of experience in a safeguarding management role in an investment firm, consultancy, or regulator • In-depth knowledge of Delegated Directive (EU) 2017/593 and MiFID II • Understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to client asset protection and reconciliations • Experience managing control processes within a financial services firm, including knowledge of front-to-back office trade flows • Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills with ability to identify and mitigate regulatory risks • Experience conducting safeguarding gap analysis, supporting policy creation and implementation • Willingness to continuously develop and improve expertise NICE TO HAVE: • Professional certificate/diploma in compliance • Degree in economics or finance • Experience with SQL and data analysis to support reconciliation processes and compliance reporting • Exposure to regulatory audits and interaction with regulatory bodies
