Salary: USD 200,000 - 250,000 / annual
Tempus is seeking a Regional Vice President of Sales to lead the North Central Oncology division and drive laboratory sales revenue growth. You will build and manage a high-performing team of sales leadership and account executives focused on expanding market penetration and promoting Ambry's genetic diagnostic testing services across hospitals, specialty clinics, and physician offices.
Key responsibilities include developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets, hiring and developing top talent at the Account Executive and Area Director levels, and creating effective sales strategies for your team. You will provide leadership through field coaching, competitive analysis, and strategic account management. The role requires sophisticated relationship management with industry thought leaders, including MDs, nurses, genetic counselors, and laboratory staff. You will own and close complex accounts, expand service utilization in existing customers, negotiate contracts, and manage customer data in Salesforce.
You will also develop and deliver presentations, support trade shows, and lead company-wide initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.
Required qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent, 5+ years of leadership experience in laboratory services supporting clinicians and hospitals (or equivalent internal leadership experience), proven track record building and leading sales teams, ability to sell technically complex products, expertise in demand creation across large geographies, strong networking and relationship development skills, excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce, and willingness to travel 50%+ nationally. Must reside in North Central USA.
