Halter is a venture-backed agtech company revolutionizing grazing management through virtual fencing technology. The company enables farmers and graziers to run more productive and sustainable operations without traditional infrastructure like quad bikes, dogs, or physical fences. Backed by tier-1 investors including Founders Fund, Bessemer Venture Partners, and DCVC, Halter is expanding into Uruguay, one of the world's leading cattle nations.
As Regional Sales Manager, you will be Halter's first on-the-ground sales hire in Uruguay, building the customer base and market presence from inception. This is a foundational role with significant scope to shape how an entire region adopts virtual fencing technology.
Key responsibilities include: sourcing and qualifying new leads through cold outreach, referrals, and industry events; conducting on-farm demonstrations and closing deals; managing sales pipeline end-to-end; establishing local sales processes, quotas, and commission structures; mentoring and developing future sales team members as the region scales; collaborating with Customer Success on implementations and renewals; building industry relationships and Halter's brand in a new market; and providing customer feedback to inform product development.
You will work with farmers directly, understanding their operations and articulating Halter's value proposition. As the region grows, you'll help shape sales capability, team structure, and go-to-market strategy.
Required: 5+ years of end-to-end sales experience with proven success sourcing prospects, securing meetings, and closing deals. Strong value-based sales background and high-volume sales results. Excellent communication skills and results-driven mindset. Fluency in Spanish and professional English. Experience in beef farming or agriculture highly desirable; technology sales experience preferred. Comfort with ambiguity and ability to build in a new market essential. University degree or equivalent preferred but not required.
