Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations centers (SOCs). The company is redefining security analytics and operations with a next-generation operating system for security teams, already deployed at major Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 organizations.
As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will be the technical bridge between Vega's enterprise sales team and customers across the West (California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona preferred). You'll partner closely with Regional Sales Managers to support a defined set of strategic enterprise accounts, serving as the trusted technical advisor to CISOs, security operations leaders, and platform teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead technical discovery to understand customer security operations, data pipelines, detection strategies, and scalability requirements
- Design and present enterprise-grade architectures demonstrating how Vega modernizes legacy SIEM and security data platforms
- Conduct technical evaluations, pilots, and proof-of-value engagements that articulate ROI, performance, and operational impact
- Deliver compelling technical demos tailored to executive, practitioner, and platform audiences
- Position Vega as a strategic alternative to legacy SIEM and security analytics platforms, addressing scale, cost, and operational complexity
- Support executive briefings, customer QBRs, and architecture reviews with senior security and IT leadership
- Provide product feedback based on real-world customer use cases to influence roadmap and go-to-market strategy
- Maintain accurate technical opportunity notes and evaluation plans in Salesforce
- Stay current on evolving security analytics trends, cloud architectures, and AI-driven SOC workflows
