Salary: USD 150,000 - 300,000 / annual
Traversal is an AI Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) platform trusted by enterprise companies to troubleshoot, remediate, and prevent complex production incidents. The company is building an AI agent lab for the enterprise with a team of researchers from MIT, Harvard, and Berkeley, alongside engineers from leading companies like Datadog, Cockroach Labs, and Perplexity.
As Regional Director of Sales for the West, you will build and scale GTM operations across the Western region. You'll lead a team of Enterprise Account Executives while maintaining hands-on involvement in complex technical evaluations and proof-of-concepts. This is a strategic leadership role requiring deep ownership of regional sales execution.
Key responsibilities include defining and executing the Western region sales strategy, overseeing outbound prospecting and contract negotiations, recruiting and mentoring high-performing Account Executives, and fostering a culture of technical storytelling. You'll collaborate closely with Sales Engineering on deep-dive demos and POCs, serve as a key voice of the customer to Product and Engineering teams, and represent Traversal credibly with C-suite executives and senior platform engineering leaders.
You'll need 8+ years in enterprise SaaS sales with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role, preferably in technical fields like observability or infrastructure. You should have demonstrated success exceeding regional sales targets in early-stage or high-growth environments where you built pipelines from scratch. Strong ability to lead multi-stakeholder sales cycles with technical decision-makers, understand SRE workflows, and thrive in ambiguity with high ownership of scaling operations. Observability experience is required.
The role offers competitive compensation with base salary $150,000–$300,000 plus OTE, startup equity, health insurance, flexible time off, and a collaborative, high-impact team environment.
