Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatment, seeks a Regional Business Director to lead commercial operations across the Southeast (NC, TN, GA, FL). This is a first-line field leadership role managing a team of 7 Regional Account Managers responsible for delivering strong business performance and meaningful patient impact in rare cholestatic liver disease. Key responsibilities include translating national and zone strategy into focused regional execution, building a culture of continuous learning and accountability, and ensuring clinical credibility and business discipline. The RBD will lead team recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention while spending meaningful time in the field coaching, observing customer engagement, and providing actionable feedback. You'll develop individualized development plans, create stretch opportunities, and build succession readiness. The role requires developing thoughtful account strategies reflecting local patient journeys, referral networks, and access dynamics. You'll raise the quality and consistency of customer engagement across pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology settings, support compliant coordination to remove barriers in the patient journey, and promote customer experiences grounded in trust and empathy. You'll maintain strong knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease, the Liver portfolio, market dynamics, patient support pathways, and competitive landscape. Cross-functional partnership is essential—you'll collaborate with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Commercial Training, Operations, and Advocacy to bring forward field insights and align partners around regional opportunities. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong people leadership, clinical acumen, business judgment, and the ability to set high standards while creating a safe, inclusive environment. You'll own regional results, budget management, forecasting, and resource stewardship while maintaining compliance and championing change.
