Mirum Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company focused on rare disease treatment, seeks a Regional Business Director to lead the South Central region (TN, LA, TX, MO). This first-line field leader will manage a team of 7 Regional Account Managers, translating national and zone strategy into focused local execution while building a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
Key responsibilities include:
**Regional Strategy & Performance Leadership**: Develop and execute a focused regional business plan with clear objectives, account priorities, and success measures. Establish a disciplined operating rhythm including field coaching, business reviews, and performance tracking. Leverage data and market intelligence to identify growth opportunities and improve execution. Own regional results, budget management, forecasting, and resource allocation.
**People Leadership & Development**: Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing Regional Account Managers. Spend meaningful time in the field coaching, providing actionable feedback, and creating individualized development plans. Build succession readiness and hold the team accountable for behaviors, execution quality, and results.
**Customer & Patient Impact**: Ensure thoughtful account strategies reflecting local patient journeys, referral networks, and access dynamics. Raise the quality and consistency of customer engagement across pediatric and adult hepatology and gastroenterology settings. Support compliant coordination to remove barriers in the patient journey from identification through treatment persistence.
**Clinical & Business Acumen**: Build a team that bridges science and strategy in the rare disease market. Maintain strong knowledge of rare cholestatic liver disease, the Liver portfolio, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Coach the team to communicate with clinical relevance and tailor engagement to customer needs.
**Cross-Functional Leadership**: Build trusted partnerships across Marketing, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, and other functions. Bring forward timely field insights that inform strategy and execution priorities. Align cross-functional partners around regional opportunities and barriers.
**Culture & Compliance**: Lead with humility, transparency, and consistency. Create a safe, inclusive environment where people can learn and perform at their best. Champion change and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
