Kafene is a fintech company revolutionizing the lease-to-own space with AI-powered point-of-sale solutions. The company has processed over $500 million in originations and serves retailers across furniture, appliances, electronics, tires, and durable goods.
As a Regional Business Consultant, you will drive sales growth and build lasting partnerships with retail merchants across an assigned territory in the Boston region. You'll be the primary point of contact for retail partners, spending most of your week in the field conducting in-store visits, training sessions, and business reviews to increase product adoption and partner performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for retail partners, building strong relationships through regular in-store visits, follow-ups, and phone check-ins
- Delivering sales and training presentations that drive product adoption and partner growth
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
- Negotiating agreements with retail partners and supporting integration of marketing strategies and technology solutions such as POS systems
- Conducting quarterly business reviews and using HubSpot to track activity, analyze sales trends, and report on performance
- Partnering with sales leadership, marketing, and product teams on growth strategy while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations
This role requires a minimum of four days per week in the field, including overnight stays and occasional air travel within the region. Spanish fluency is a plus.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in retail, finance, or lease-to-own
- Consultative, client-first approach to building and maintaining strong partner relationships
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to engage audiences both in person and virtually
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities
- Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and data analysis tools to track performance and drive growth
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel a minimum of four days per week, including overnight stays
