Multiplier Holdings is a VC-backed technology company that acquires and scales high-impact professional services firms (accounting and tax practices) globally, using AI to automate workflows and drive growth.
You will lead Multiplier's decentralized inorganic growth engine, designing and operating a portfolio-led acquisition flywheel. Rather than relying on traditional brokers, you will work directly with portfolio leaders across regions to identify and execute three types of inorganic growth initiatives:
1. Add-on acquisitions: Help firm leaders identify and execute acquisitions of smaller practices, client books, and specialist capabilities.
2. Acquihires / team lift-outs: Structure proposals for talented operators or small teams to join portfolio companies, bringing clients, capabilities, and local market expertise.
3. Incubations: Identify exceptional operators and help them test and launch new firm concepts or service lines within Multiplier.
Key responsibilities span three areas:
Sourcing: Develop relationships with portfolio leaders across regions as the main point of contact for inorganic growth. Incentivize and enable them to identify opportunities. Help position Multiplier as a partner of choice for top-tier service professionals.
Structuring: Develop and refine playbooks for inorganic growth initiatives. Analyze financial statements and build financial models to assess investment attractiveness. Synthesize deal theses for internal stakeholders. Walk prospective partners through deal structures and support negotiations.
Due Diligence & Closing: Coordinate legal and financial due diligence. Share findings with Multiplier stakeholders. Coordinate signing and closing mechanics.
This is a high-autonomy role reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Development. You will help build a compounding acquisition engine inspired by serial acquirers like Teledyne, Danaher, and Constellation Software, applied to the global accounting and tax market. The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, highly organized, comfortable with financial statements and modeling, and able to build trust quickly with entrepreneurs and firm owners. You should be a top-decile adopter of AI—eager to experiment with new tools, automate your own workflows, and become the most AI-enabled version of yourself.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in finance, law, or management consulting with meaningful M&A experience; you've worked on live transactions and are comfortable owning financial models, diligence workstreams, and negotiations with counterparties
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Comfortable handling financial modeling and/or negotiating legal documents
- Excellent communication skills
