TerraClear is a Series A agtech company applying AI, robotics, and mechanical design to solve labor-intensive farm challenges. The company's first product automates rock clearing—a major pain point affecting nearly half of North American farms. They are now expanding into weed, pest, and disease management using their core technologies.
As Regional Account Manager, you will drive revenue growth across western Indiana and central Illinois by building trusted relationships with growers and resellers. This is a field-based, in-person sales role requiring 2–3 weeks of travel per month.
Key responsibilities include prospecting and qualifying leads through cold calling, networking, and referrals; conducting face-to-face meetings to understand customer needs; presenting TerraClear's mapping solutions, picking services, and autonomous imaging technology; negotiating and closing deals; and maintaining long-term customer relationships. You will serve as a trusted advisor, deeply understanding customer operations and representing TerraClear with professionalism across the agricultural community.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams (Marketing, Customer Success, Operations, Inside Sales, Product Development) to ensure customer satisfaction and provide feedback to inform strategy and product development. You'll maintain accurate documentation in Smartsheet, HubSpot, Google Docs, and Slack.
Required: 5+ years of territory sales management experience with ag retailers and/or seed dealers, proven track record of exceeding targets, established relationships within grower and reseller communities, comfort in ambiguous startup environments, strong organizational and CRM skills, self-motivation, and willingness to travel extensively. Must live near or in Champaign, IL.
Preferred: established ag retail network, deep farming operations knowledge, comfort selling new technology (AI, software, automation), and agricultural background.
