Applied Intuition is a $15B Series A AI company (founded 2017) powering physical AI for autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. The company serves 18 of the top 20 global automakers and the US military, with offices across North America, Europe, and Asia.
You will lead full-lifecycle recruiting for Applied Intuition's Tokyo office, a newly expanding hub. Your primary responsibilities include: independently managing recruiting pipelines for sales, engineering, and general administration roles (with ~70% focus on engineering); partnering with business and engineering leaders to identify and hire top talent; collaborating with senior US managers on hiring strategy and decisions; and building the foundation of the Japan team.
You will report to and work closely with leadership in Sunnyvale HQ, with an initial onboarding trip required. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in high-growth environments and enjoys direct impact on company scaling.
Required qualifications: fluency in Japanese and English (written and verbal); strong communication skills; passion for working at a high-growth startup. Nice-to-have: recruiting experience in software/tech industry; background working at a software company.
