SumUp is seeking a Record to Report (R2R) Team Leader to lead the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes across all SumUp entities. You will manage a team of 16 accountants across Sofia and São Paulo, ensuring financial records remain accurate, complete, and delivered on time. Key responsibilities include: - Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes for R2R across all SumUp entities - Coordinate audit activities and manage relationships with external auditors to ensure timely delivery of annual financial statements - Drive automation initiatives for postings and reconciliations (e.g., payroll integrations, scripted reconciliations) to increase team capacity for higher-value work - Own the annual stock count process, including first-time counts of field sales inventory - Manage and develop a team of 16 accountants across two locations, setting clear goals and building a strong feedback culture - Partner with Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Procurement, and People Ops to improve analysis, reconciliation, and posting quality while supporting new business initiatives SumUp is a fintech company empowering small businesses globally with payment, finance, and customer relationship tools. Requirements: - Track record of leading a finance or accounting team through a period of growth or significant change - ACCA or CIMA membership with strong knowledge of IFRS and experience applying accounting standards to complex, judgment-based transactions - Experience coordinating audit processes and building relationships with external auditors - Comfort working in a fast-moving environment where processes aren't always perfect and improvement is part of the job - Fluency in English with confidence explaining financial topics clearly to non-finance stakeholders
