IonQ is seeking a Quantum Success Engineer to support and enable users of its quantum computing platform. This role bridges customers and internal technical teams, focusing on user onboarding, platform adoption, and customer success rather than deep quantum physics expertise.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting users throughout their IonQ Quantum Cloud journey, from initial setup to advanced feature adoption
- Becoming an expert on the IonQ Quantum Cloud user experience and software ecosystem
- Conducting onboarding sessions and user training on operational logistics, code syntax, and execution options
- Addressing support requests and conducting hands-on debugging
- Demonstrating new features to external customers
- Acting as a liaison between customers and engineering teams, translating needs across physics, computer science, and business domains
- Escalating and monitoring issue resolution
- Gathering and advocating for customer feedback internally
The ideal candidate is a technical generalist and fast learner who can work effectively across domains with appropriate technical depth. While quantum information science research or software engineering experience is a plus, it is not required. The role emphasizes problem-solving, communication, and the ability to help customers understand both the technology and operational aspects of quantum computing platforms.
This is a high-visibility position offering opportunities to influence both business and technical stakeholders. The role can be fully remote or hybrid from US offices, with up to 10% travel.
