As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality software products by designing, developing, and executing comprehensive test plans covering functional, performance, and product testing. You will collaborate closely with development teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Bugzilla, ensuring timely resolution and compliance with quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining detailed test plans and test cases based on technical requirements and design specifications. You will execute functional, performance, and product tests to validate software behavior and system performance under various conditions. Your work involves identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely fixes.
You will collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of externally sourced components and integrate supplier quality processes into overall testing strategies. You will analyze test results, generate reports, and provide actionable feedback to cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with proven experience in software quality assurance including test planning and execution. You must be proficient in programming languages such as C++ and Java to understand and create automated tests, and have experience with defect tracking tools, specifically Bugzilla or equivalent. A strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies is essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience with supplier quality management and integration, familiarity with performance testing tools and techniques, knowledge of automated testing frameworks and continuous integration systems, and certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) or related quality assurance credentials. Experience in a multinational or cross-cultural work environment is valued.
