Tanium is seeking a QA & Automation Engineer to join its Krakow office (hybrid, 3 days/week on-site) to test products built on the Tanium platform. You will work alongside developers and product managers to design, develop, and maintain automated test suites across UI, API, and integration layers using Python/pytest, Playwright, and REST API testing tools.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and develop automated test suites for UI, API, and integration testing
- Champion a shift-left, automation-first approach by embedding in engineering squads and writing in-sprint automation
- Build and maintain automated regression pipelines in CI/CD environments (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), monitoring pipeline health and resolving flaky tests
- Author and execute comprehensive test plans covering functional, regression, integration, performance, and basic security testing
- Identify, document, and track defects with clear, reproducible bug reports
- Collaborate with software engineers and product managers throughout the development lifecycle, including design reviews and code reviews
- Create and maintain QA documentation including test plans, test summary reports, and deployment checklists
- Share knowledge and best practices within the Krakow QA team
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience
- 3–5 years of QA engineering experience with strong test automation focus in B2B software or SaaS
- Proficiency in Python/Pytest or other programming languages
- Solid experience with REST API testing and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Knowledge of testing best practices (test automation pyramid, Page Object Model, Agile/Scrum, defect management tools like Jira and TestRail)
- Familiarity with non-functional testing (load, stress, performance) and basic security testing (OWASP)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Nice-to-have skills include Playwright or Selenium experience, TypeScript/JavaScript familiarity, OS knowledge (Linux & Windows), virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V), scripting proficiency (shell, Python, PowerShell), and packet capture tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).
