Cloudflare is seeking a Public Relations Associate for its EMEA region, based in Lisbon, Portugal. You will report to the EMEA PR Director and play a key role in scaling communications across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
In this hybrid role, you'll manage day-to-day PR operations including editorial calendars, content execution, and agency coordination. You'll focus on partner PR initiatives, regional speaking opportunities, and media awards to elevate Cloudflare's presence across EMEA markets. Your responsibilities include crafting compelling stories that translate complex technical innovations into clear narratives, securing high-impact media coverage, and managing the full lifecycle of PR campaigns from concept to completion.
You'll collaborate directly with cross-functional teams spanning engineering, legal and policy, partner marketing, and executive leadership. Key duties include monitoring and responding to inbound media requests, organizing media briefings and interviews, maintaining strong relationships with tech and business journalists, developing proactive story ideas, and supporting executive spokespeople with interview preparation and briefing materials. You'll also work closely with local PR agencies to drive consistent strategy and measure campaign results.
The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of B2B tech PR experience (in-house or agency) with a focus on EMEA markets. You should have a BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or Marketing. Technical curiosity is essential—you must be able to understand complex technology and translate it into compelling narratives. You'll need exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong project management abilities, and meticulous attention to detail. Familiarity with AI tools for workflow optimization and content creation is valued. Fluency in English plus one or more European languages (ideally Spanish and/or Italian) is required. An in-the-trenches, hands-on mindset and ability to work fast in a dynamic environment are critical.
