K2 Space is building the largest and highest-power satellites ever flown, backed by $450M in funding from leading investors including Altimeter Capital, Redpoint Ventures, T. Rowe Price, and Lightspeed Venture Partners. The company is mass-producing advanced satellite platforms for missions from low Earth orbit to deep space, with multiple launches planned through 2026 and 2027. As a Propulsion Electrical Test Engineer, you will own the success of avionics testing for the development of the highest-powered electric propulsion system ever flown. In your first six months, you will be pivotal in developing production-quality test hardware and software to deliver flight avionics through acceptance and qualification testing (ATP/QTP) for the Mega satellite constellation. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary propulsion team including electrical, propulsion, mechanical, manufacturing, test, and automation engineers. Your responsibilities include leading setup, execution, and analysis of tests on electronic hardware, including circuit boards and spacecraft power systems. You will validate prototype designs, define test requirements, and design test infrastructure to meet critical programmatic milestones such as delivery of flight hardware to vehicle integration. In your first year, you will lead multidisciplinary test campaigns, conduct root cause investigations, perform propulsion system hot-fire tests, and drive production improvements to ensure reliability and scalability. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, high-growth Series C space startup where you'll directly impact the development of next-generation satellite technology.
