The Builder Platform, established through collaboration between the National Science Foundation and The Engine (a Tough Tech incubator built by MIT), is seeking a Program Coordinator to manage programming, content, and events for a national innovation initiative supporting regional tech ecosystems. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Partner Engagement & Workforce Development, you will be the operational backbone of The Builder Platform, keeping all programming and communications running smoothly. This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge with occasional travel for in-person convenings. Key responsibilities include: **Programming Logistics:** Manage end-to-end logistics for virtual sessions and in-person convenings—from drafting session descriptions and inviting participants to recording sessions and writing recaps. Track participation in Airtable, coordinate venue and catering for convenings, and support agenda design by gathering input from the TBP team, NSF, and Engine participants. **Content Coordination:** Maintain the content calendar, track milestones, and produce content in multiple formats (Google Docs, video clips, etc.). Adapt Engine-specific content for broader audiences of ecosystem builders to support field-building work. **Communications Support:** Draft all TBP newsletters (weekly cohort-specific and monthly public editions) including Engine news and curated resources. Manage website content, posting, edits, and updates. Use AI tools including Claude to gather and draft content. **Team Support:** Provide coordination and administrative support to the full TBP team, including help designing presentations and drafting talking points. Create and maintain standard operating procedures for programming, events, and communications. **Data & Reporting:** Keep programming, content, and event records accurate in shared systems. Work with the Ops team on data maintenance, archiving, and QC. Contribute to Milestones reports and presentations. You'll work at the center of a national innovation initiative supporting NSF Regional Innovation Engines across the country, seeing firsthand how research turns into companies, jobs, and stronger regional economies. **Requirements:** - Minimum 2 years of experience in program coordination, events, communications, or operations, ideally in a mission-driven or startup ecosystem setting - Bachelor's degree preferred - Strong organizational skills: ability to manage multiple moving pieces (calendars, logistics, deadlines) with excellent follow-through and attention to detail - Clear, concise writing skills; comfortable drafting newsletters, session descriptions, and event materials; able to communicate with both technical teams and business stakeholders; strong verbal communication - Systems fluency: comfort with Google Workspace, Airtable, HubSpot, Circle, or similar tools; interest in using AI tools to improve workflows - Soft skills: team player, results-oriented, good listener, able to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced environments
