PDI Technologies is seeking a Product Owner III to drive the mobile product roadmap for the Mobile Engagement Manager (MEM), a web-based portal enabling customers to customize, update, and publish changes to their branded mobile apps. This is a 0-to-1 product opportunity within the broader Mobile Platform and Framework initiative.
You will translate high-level roadmap initiatives and solution briefs into detailed, engineering-ready PRDs and user stories. Working closely with Agile engineering teams, Product Managers, customers, and business stakeholders, you'll shape requirements for consumer-facing mobile experiences. You'll collaborate with design on portal/UI workflows, work with Support to prioritize customer-reported issues, and partner with system users (customers, partners, consulting teams) to understand product needs.
Key responsibilities include:
- Breaking down ambiguous roadmap items into scoped, sequenced PRDs and user stories
- Defining and evolving requirements for MEM's publishing engine (configuration, preview, deployment workflows)
- Contributing to Mobile Platform-level decisions on what should be configurable, extensible, or standardized
- Managing the product backlog in tools like Jira or Azure DevOps
- Conducting sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and product demos
- Guiding Agile teams in story breakdown and acceptance criteria definition
- Developing documentation including UI mockups, process flows, and data sequence diagrams
- Authoring release notes and customer notifications
- Using AI-assisted tools and workflows to accelerate requirements analysis, documentation, and backlog preparation
- Serving as a product evangelist, helping Product Managers and Business teams understand platform best practices
You will report to U.S.-based leadership and work across time zones with strong communication habits.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Product Manager, Product Owner, or similar role, with at least 2 years as an Agile Product Owner
- Prior experience with consumer-facing mobile apps (iOS/Android), writing requirements, PRDs, or user stories for mobile products (strongly preferred)
- Experience with platform, framework, or configurable/multi-tenant products (strong plus)
- Comfort defining requirements for 0-to-1 products with evolving scope
- Ability to break down ambiguous roadmap items into engineering-ready PRDs
- Familiarity with mobile-specific considerations (app store processes, platform guidelines, mobile UX patterns) is a plus
- Fluency with or genuine eagerness to learn AI-assisted product workflows
- Solid understanding of Agile software development processes and principles
- Working knowledge of product/sprint backlog tracking, burn-down metrics, velocity, and work breakdown techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and vice versa
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work under pressure
- Ability to socialize ideas and influence decisions without direct authority
- Collaborative by nature with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or equivalent work experience
- Preferred: Domain experience in Convenience Retail, ERP, Logistics, or Financial transaction processing solutions
