Turnitin, a global leader in education integrity solutions serving over 16,000 institutions across 185 countries, is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to own customer-facing communications around data privacy, security, AI transparency, and accessibility. This role bridges Product, Security, Privacy/Legal, AI, and Sales teams to translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear, customer-friendly messaging that builds trust.
Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining positioning and messaging for privacy, security, responsible AI practices, and accessibility across the product portfolio. You will lead AI transparency communications, explaining where and how AI is used, what data AI features access, and whether customer data is used for model training. You'll own and continuously improve external-facing web resources and documentation that help customers understand security, privacy, AI, data-use, and accessibility practices.
You will translate complex security architectures, privacy practices, AI technologies, and regulatory requirements into language accessible to educators, administrators, procurement teams, and business leaders. You'll develop training materials, playbooks, FAQs, objection-handling guidance, and talk tracks to enable Sales, Customer Success, and other customer-facing teams to confidently discuss these topics. You'll partner with Sales, Security, Privacy, Legal, and Product teams to address customer questions during evaluations, procurement processes, security reviews, and renewals.
Additionally, you'll establish and maintain approved messaging to ensure consistent communication across Product, Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, Legal, Privacy, and Security. You'll partner on product launches—especially those involving AI or new data uses—to ensure appropriate trust and privacy messaging. You'll identify emerging topics that may create customer concerns and develop proactive communications before they become adoption barriers. You'll monitor the evolving regulatory landscape around AI, privacy, security, and accessibility, translating developments into product positioning implications. Finally, you'll represent the voice of the customer, bringing recurring questions and concerns back to internal teams to influence product decisions and roadmap priorities.
Success means customers quickly understand how data is protected, how AI is used, whether their data trains models, and how accessibility is approached. Sales and Customer Success teams confidently answer routine questions without escalation, and external communications consistently reinforce trust.
