Baseten is seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to lead go-to-market strategy for its Model API product. The company powers mission-critical inference for leading AI companies including Cursor, Notion, Abridge, and Writer, having recently raised $1.5B in Series F funding. In this role, you will own product positioning and messaging that articulates the value of Baseten's inference platform to developers and enterprise customers. You'll shape market narratives around closed-to-open weight models and inference best practices, working closely with product, engineering, sales, and growth teams. Key responsibilities include developing differentiated positioning and messaging; creating high-quality marketing assets such as white papers, technical blogs, demos, and case studies; owning feature and product launch processes; building sales enablement resources; and conducting competitive and market analysis to inform positioning strategies. You should have 3–8+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or SaaS. You'll need proven success creating technical content for developer audiences, a working understanding of the LLM landscape (post-training, open-weight vs. closed models, training techniques), and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Technical aptitude and comfort working with engineering teams is essential, as is familiarity with developer ecosystems, APIs, and modern software development practices. Startup experience and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with multiple stakeholders is required. Baseten offers competitive compensation with meaningful equity, 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance for employees and dependents, flexible PTO including company-wide Winter Break, paid parental leave, fertility and family-building stipends, and company-facilitated 401(k). You'll gain exposure to a variety of ML startups, offering unparalleled learning and networking opportunities.
