Lovable is a no-code/low-code platform that enables anyone—from solopreneurs to Fortune 100 teams—to build software applications with any language. The company is experiencing rapid growth with hundreds of millions of monthly visits to Lovable-built applications and a compounding enterprise footprint.
This Product Marketing Manager role owns the messaging and positioning strategy for Lovable's self-serve, product-led growth motion. You will be the messaging expert across the entire user journey from signup through activation to expansion, working closely with the Growth PM (who owns the product roadmap and experimentation strategy) and the Lifecycle team (who execute campaigns day-to-day).
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and own messaging and positioning strategy for the self-serve journey, translating growth priorities into compelling, on-brand messaging
- Partner with Growth PM to bring strategic positioning perspective to roadmap and experimentation priorities
- Collaborate with Lifecycle team on content and messaging for email, in-app surfaces, and push notifications
- Create point-of-view documents and messaging guidance for different self-serve segments (solo founders, indie hackers, small teams)
- Write and refine copy for high-leverage touchpoints: onboarding flows, activation nudges, upgrade prompts, in-app messaging
- Build a shared messaging toolkit (voice, tone, positioning by segment, proof points) that teams can draw from
- Analyze messaging performance from experiments and campaigns, understanding not just what worked but why
- Serve as a thought partner to Growth PM on messaging and positioning strategy
You are a clear, sharp writer who can explain complex features in subject lines and tooltips. You excel at positioning—matching user segments and product moments to resonant stories. You're comfortable partnering closely with product and lifecycle teams without owning their roadmaps. You build cross-functional trust and alignment without formal authority, are curious about data and results, and bias toward shipping and iterating quickly.
Required: 6+ years in product marketing, lifecycle marketing, or content/messaging roles at high-tech companies. Direct experience writing messaging and positioning for PLG or self-serve products across the signup-to-paid-to-expansion journey. Track record of customer-facing content, campaigns, or messaging with measurable outcomes. Experience partnering with product, growth, or lifecycle teams on messaging integration.
Preferred: Experience with lifecycle/CRM tools (Braze, Iterable, Customer.io), familiarity with growth metrics and experimentation frameworks (PQLs, activation rate, feature adoption), experience with developer/startup/solo builder audiences, and experience building messaging frameworks that scaled across teams.
