Brave is building independent search infrastructure for the AI era. The company operates its own global web index, powering leading AI companies, applications, and developer frameworks with Brave Search API. Unlike competitors relying on Bing or Google APIs, Brave offers Zero-Data-Retention guarantees, independent ranking, and greater control over search infrastructure.
As Technical Product Marketing Manager, you will lead positioning, go-to-market strategy, content creation, and growth initiatives for Brave Search API. You'll partner closely with Product, Sales, Engineering, Growth, and Developer Relations teams to translate complex API capabilities into compelling messaging and campaigns.
Key responsibilities include developing differentiated positioning for developers, technical decision-makers, and enterprise buyers; building deep understanding of API endpoints, integrations, and use cases; supporting product launches and feature rollouts; managing social media and audience engagement; optimizing website conversion funnels; creating technical content including blog posts, case studies, explainers, and sales enablement materials; tracking performance metrics and competitive positioning; and driving cross-functional alignment on messaging and pipeline growth.
You should have 5+ years of product marketing experience, ideally in AI, SaaS, developer tools, or APIs. Technical fluency is essential—you'll need to read API documentation, understand REST APIs and JSON, and explain complex technical concepts clearly to both developers and business audiences. Strong copywriting, positioning, and analytics skills are required. Experience with HubSpot, Google Analytics, SEO, and AEO is valued. Preferred qualifications include marketing to AI developers, familiarity with LLMs, RAG, AI agents, and search technology, experience with developer frameworks and open-source communities, and background in growth marketing or developer engagement.
