Tailscale is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join its fully distributed marketing team. The role focuses on understanding customer needs and pain points, then translating technical features into compelling business benefits for go-to-market initiatives.
Key responsibilities include becoming the expert on Tailscale's users and customers, collaborating with sales, product, and marketing teams to develop positioning and messaging, and launching new products or features while measuring revenue impact. You will create sales collateral and enablement materials (decks, case studies, webinars, training), conduct competitive and market analysis to inform strategy, represent the company at industry events, and help drive meaningful sales pipeline.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of product marketing, sales enablement, or related experience with a proven track record in marketing-adjacent roles. You should have an affinity for complex technical subjects, strong project management skills, and an analytical, data-driven mindset. Excellent cross-functional communication, adaptability in ambiguous environments, and a bias toward action and iteration are essential. Experience with startups, networking, or security products in SaaS/cloud environments is a plus.
