Sierra is building an AI platform that helps businesses create better, more human customer experiences. The company was founded by Bret Taylor (former Salesforce co-CEO, Facebook CTO, Google Maps co-creator) and Clay Bavor (18-year Google veteran who led Google Labs, AR/VR, and Google Workspace). Sierra is headquartered in San Francisco with offices across Atlanta, New York, London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Singapore, Tokyo, and Sydney.
This Product Marketing Manager role sits within the Solutions Product Marketing team, focusing on vertical and persona-based go-to-market strategy. Unlike core product marketing, this position specializes in translating Sierra's product capabilities into industry-specific messaging, positioning, and sales enablement.
Key responsibilities include: developing industry and persona-specific messaging that resonates with particular verticals and buyer types; building sales enablement playbooks, slide decks, one-pagers, landing pages, and industry guides; owning how new products are packaged and adapted for specific industries and personas; establishing operational processes, templates, and systems to scale across multiple verticals without duplication; and flexing across channels while potentially going deep in a specific vertical or demo strategy.
You'll need 5+ years of B2B product marketing experience, with bonus points for vertical or persona-based marketing background. Strong operational instincts are essential—you should naturally think in processes, systems, and repeatable frameworks, and be comfortable building structure from scratch. You must excel at developing positioning and messaging, translating them into both sales-facing and customer-facing assets for different audiences. Proficiency with AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude is expected. Experience with product launches, translating launch messaging for specific industries, and building presentations in Google Slides is required. You should thrive in an early-stage, still-being-defined team environment and be enthusiastic about shaping how the team operates.
Sample projects include taking a newly launched product and building the complete industry go-to-market package (messaging, sales assets, enablement, demo) for a specific vertical, or building an enablement plan and content library for sales across multiple industries.
Sierra's culture is built on five core values: Trust (accountability, empathy, quality, responsiveness), Customer Obsession (deeply understanding customer business goals and relentlessly driving outcomes), Craftsmanship (attention to detail and continuous improvement), Intensity (playing to win, fixing what isn't right), and Family (balancing intensity with work-life balance and supporting each other).
