Kargo is building smart infrastructure for logistics, connecting the physical world of freight with digital management systems. The company's loading dock sensor platform uses AI and computer vision to verify incoming and outgoing freight, enabling shippers and carriers to manage dock operations, optimize supplier relationships, and track material flow in real time.
As Product Marketing Manager, you will own the complete product marketing function for this technically complex hardware-software solution. Your core responsibilities include developing and articulating product positioning, messaging, and value propositions that translate Kargo's AI, computer vision, and logistics technology into clear business value for enterprise customers.
You will develop go-to-market strategies for new products and features in close partnership with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams. This includes building deep customer understanding through direct conversations, market research, and collaboration with customer-facing teams. You'll create buyer personas, use cases, and messaging frameworks that highlight customer pain points, Kargo's competitive differentiation, and measurable business impact.
Competitive positioning is a key part of the role—you'll own competitive intelligence, develop battlecards, and create insights that help Kargo win enterprise deals. You'll produce sales enablement materials including pitch decks, solution briefs, product overviews, use cases, and ROI narratives that equip the Sales team to communicate value effectively.
Content development is also central: you'll partner with the Content Marketer to shape product narratives, customer insights, and proof points that feed into case studies, thought leadership, website content, and marketing campaigns. Finally, you'll drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing, bringing market insights into product strategy and ensuring consistent messaging throughout the customer journey.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B enterprise technology, AI, SaaS, or other technically complex product environments. You should have a proven track record developing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for new products. Strong technical translation skills are essential—the ability to understand complex hardware and software capabilities and communicate them as business value to enterprise buyers. Cross-functional collaboration experience with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to develop customer-facing messaging, sales collateral, competitive positioning, and executive narratives, are critical. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience is required.
