OpenAI is seeking a senior product marketing leader to define how the company creates value for specific lines of business and industries. This is a highly senior individual contributor role with company-wide influence, responsible for developing product marketing strategy across priority industries and business functions.
Key responsibilities include: setting product marketing strategy across lines of business and industries, including segmentation and portfolio choices; defining how OpenAI helps core business functions transform their work through clear messaging and adoption paths; building differentiated narratives and activation plans for priority industries; creating systems for use cases, demonstrations, customer evidence, and ROI stories; translating strategy into launches, campaigns, field plays, and enablement; turning customer and field insights into sharper priorities; and aligning senior stakeholders around coherent portfolio strategy.
The ideal candidate brings 12+ years of product marketing, industry marketing, solutions marketing, or enterprise go-to-market experience. Required skills include successfully setting strategy across complex product portfolios and multiple audiences, leading through influence in ambiguous environments, defining personas and market opportunities using customer research, translating technical products into value for executives and practitioners, building positioning and use-case libraries, and exceptional writing and presentation abilities. Preferred experience includes industry or line-of-business marketing for enterprise software, cloud, data, developer, or AI platforms; understanding governance and procurement in regulated sectors; marketing APIs and model-based products; supporting global field teams and strategic accounts; and mentoring senior marketers.
This hybrid role is based in San Francisco with 3 days in-office per week. Relocation assistance is offered, and occasional travel is required.
