Flipside is seeking a Product Marketing Lead to own how the company presents itself to market. The core challenge: the product solves many problems, making it difficult for customers to understand where to start. You will identify the customer problem that matters most, craft a clear narrative, and show how an initial use case leads to broader adoption. You will define positioning, identify key customer problems and use cases to lead with, and decide how to explain broader value without sounding vague. You'll speak regularly with customers, prospects, and the sales team to understand what creates interest and what causes confusion. You'll study successful and unsuccessful sales opportunities to refine messaging, identify target buyer personas, and translate complex capabilities into clear business value. Key responsibilities include creating and improving the website, sales deck, product pages, demos, and customer stories. You'll give the sales team clear language, examples, and proof for customer conversations, build case studies that show real-world impact, and help plan how new features are introduced to market. You'll work cross-functionally with product, sales, customer success, and leadership to ensure consistent messaging. Success in year one means buyers understand what the product does in a few sentences and see relevance to their needs. The company has clear, consistent messaging across all channels. Sales knows which problems to lead with for different buyers. Prospects understand the product faster, sales conversations move forward, and customers see both immediate and longer-term value. You'll have built strong customer stories and measurable proof that builds trust. You bring 7+ years in product marketing or related role, ideally with experience marketing broad or technical products where value wasn't immediately obvious. You've developed positioning based on customer interviews and sales conversations, chosen which market or use case to lead with, and marketed enterprise software (ideally involving AI, data, analytics, or infrastructure). You've created messaging that worked in real sales conversations and built customer stories that helped buyers trust products. Beyond experience, you have good judgment, strong customer understanding, clear writing ability, business sense, focus, comfort with uncertainty, low ego, and hands-on ownership. You're willing to challenge assumptions and change your mind when evidence supports it.
