Comfy is a powerful workflow engine for visual AI with 4 million users, used by studios, agencies, and brands globally. The platform includes ComfyUI, Comfy Desktop, Comfy Cloud, Comfy API, Comfy Router, Workshop, Comfy Agent, and Team/Enterprise plans. As Product Marketing Lead, you will own positioning, messaging, and launches across all Comfy products, reporting directly to the CEO.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and maintain positioning and messaging across Self-hosted ComfyUI, the Dev Platform, Agent, and Enterprise offerings as products evolve rapidly.
- Own the complete launch calendar for model, product, and platform releases, including narrative development, asset creation, sequencing, and execution. Build repeatable launch playbooks that compound impact over time.
- Create a unified platform story that guides users from free ComfyUI through Partner Nodes, Cloud, API, and Enterprise tiers, making each step easy to understand and purchase.
- Develop deep market knowledge of the visual-AI landscape and position Comfy's control-and-craft advantage against competitors. Own competitive comparisons and battlecards.
- Provide Enterprise sales, Forward Deployed Creatives, and community teams with messaging, pitch narratives, case studies, and enablement materials needed to win deals.
- Develop distinct narratives for each audience: creatives and power users, developers building on Comfy, and studio/brand buyers in film, VFX, games, and advertising.
- Collaborate with product and GTM teams on pricing and packaging strategy to ensure subscriptions, credits, and plans feel simple and fair.
- Measure launch and messaging impact on signups, activation, paid conversion, and pipeline. Iterate based on data.
This is a 0→1 role where you will build the product marketing function from scratch, including positioning frameworks, launch processes, and competitive playbooks. You will remain hands-on, writing positioning, shipping launches, and ensuring each one lands harder than the last.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 7+ years in product marketing, including owning end-to-end launches at product-led, developer-tools, or creator-tools companies with demonstrated results.
- Experience building product marketing 0→1: positioning framework, launch process, or PMM function from a blank page.
- Ability to write crisp positioning that holds up against sharp competitive sets, from one-line taglines to full enterprise narratives.
- Experience marketing to both individual users and enterprise buyers, ideally with usage-based or credit-based pricing models.
- Hands-on approach: preference for shipping messages and assets over managing processes.
- Data literacy: ability to read adoption, activation, and conversion funnels independently.
- First-principles thinking with high agency and low ego.
- SF-based or willing to relocate to join the in-person team.
BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience marketing open-source or open-core products while growing the business without losing community.
- Creative industry background: film, TV, VFX, animation, games, advertising, or agencies.
- Track record launching AI or developer platform products (APIs, agents, model platforms).
- Direct experience using Comfy or familiarity with AI creative tools.
