PQShield is seeking a Product Marketing Director to own the positioning, messaging, and go-to-market strategy for its post-quantum cryptography solutions. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, focused on translating complex cryptographic and security technology into compelling narratives for executives, engineers, partners, and buyers across multiple industries. You will be responsible for developing the company's market narrative around the post-quantum transition—a critical shift driven by NIST's publication of post-quantum cryptography standards (co-authored by PQShield's team). Your work will help organizations across semiconductors, automotive, defense, and enterprise understand why they need to act and why PQShield's approach is differentiated. Key responsibilities include: - Developing positioning, messaging, and value propositions that explain market shifts, customer problems, and PQShield's differentiated solutions - Translating sophisticated cryptographic capabilities into clear business and security value for technical and non-technical buyers - Owning portfolio positioning for hardware IP and software offerings (PQPlatform, PQPerform, PQCryptoLib, PQMicroLib) - Conducting deep customer research to understand buying journeys, security requirements, regulatory pressures, and adoption barriers - Shaping category and market narrative around post-quantum security and cryptographic agility - Leading product launches and go-to-market strategies for new products, certifications, and partnerships - Creating sales enablement materials including presentations, solution briefs, case studies, and battlecards - Developing segment-specific narratives for semiconductors, automotive, military/aerospace, industrial IoT, networking, and enterprise - Owning competitive storytelling and differentiation strategy - Leading content development including white papers, thought leadership, application notes, customer stories, and web experiences - Partnering across product, engineering, sales, partnerships, and leadership to ensure consistent messaging This role requires someone who can operate at the intersection of product, engineering, sales, and customers—identifying market shifts, understanding customer problems, and creating differentiation that drives urgency and demand. REQUIREMENTS: - 8+ years of marketing experience with significant background in product marketing, technology marketing, B2B marketing, or related discipline - Proven ability to develop positioning and stories that change how markets understand products, technologies, or companies - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to make highly technical content understandable and compelling without oversimplification - Strong storytelling instincts and ability to find human, business, and strategic narratives within complex technology - Experience marketing technical B2B products, ideally in cybersecurity, semiconductors, infrastructure, embedded systems, software, or sophisticated technology markets - Strong understanding of security and technology buyers; ability to communicate credibly with CISOs, CTOs, engineers, architects, product leaders, and business executives - Demonstrated ability to work closely with technical experts and quickly develop subject-matter expertise to challenge assumptions and tell accurate stories - Commercial mindset focused on creating differentiation, urgency, preference, and revenue impact - Experience launching products and taking complex offerings to market - Experience developing compelling sales narratives and enablement for complex, multi-stakeholder sales - Excellent strategic judgment in determining what markets need to hear and how to communicate it - Comfort operating in fast-moving environments where narratives must be created before markets establish them
