Candescent is a fintech platform transforming how financial institutions deliver intelligent banking experiences. The company unites digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions across digital, remote, and in-person channels using an API-first, cloud-based architecture. As Product Marketing Director, you will lead product positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution for the platform and new product launches. This is a strategic leadership role requiring entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to build frameworks from scratch while navigating ambiguity. Key responsibilities include: **Product Positioning & Messaging**: Develop value propositions and messaging frameworks that translate complex platform capabilities into compelling narratives for banks and credit unions. Ensure consistency across all external-facing materials and channels. **Go-to-Market Planning**: Lead end-to-end GTM strategy for product releases and feature launches. Define ideal customer profiles, readiness checklists, success metrics, and communication plans. Drive cross-functional alignment with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and agency partners. **Competitive & Customer Insights**: Maintain competitive landscape analysis and provide strategic positioning recommendations. Partner with Product, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to identify adoption gaps and translate insights into actionable messaging and product strategy recommendations. **Sales Enablement**: Create customer-ready assets including pitch decks, one-pagers, feature sheets, battlecards, and demo flows. Support sales training and ensure consistent messaging across the organization. **Cross-Functional Leadership**: Act as the connective link between Product, Sales, Customer Experience, and Marketing. Manage agency partners for design, content, research, and creative execution. Communicate confidently with senior leadership and technical teams. **Team Development**: Operate as a strong individual contributor while helping shape the product marketing function. Mentor junior team members as the PMM organization scales. You should have 10+ years of product marketing experience in SaaS, fintech, or adjacent B2B enterprise markets, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven success building differentiated narratives, executing product launches, and driving measurable revenue outcomes is essential. Strong analytical and storytelling skills, expertise in competitive intelligence and persona development, and executive presence are required. You thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments with an entrepreneurial, hands-on approach balanced with strategic vision.
