Salary: USD 170,900 - 259,600 / annual
Thumbtack is a marketplace platform connecting millions of homeowners with local service professionals for home care, repairs, and improvements. The Pro Activation & Success team focuses on helping service businesses discover, succeed, and grow on the platform.
In this role, you'll own the product vision and strategy for serving larger, more sophisticated service businesses—a major growth opportunity. You'll shape how Thumbtack evolves to meet the needs of complex, multi-person operations that require integrations with business tools, scalable workflows, and foundational capabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the pro segment, with accountability for customer and business outcomes
- Conducting deep research to understand how sophisticated pros operate, identifying unmet needs and growth opportunities
- Setting strategy for APIs, data integrations, and partner offerings in collaboration with partnerships and business development teams
- Leading new products from discovery through launch and adoption, helping complex businesses succeed on a platform originally designed for smaller operators
- Partnering with engineering on technical tradeoffs between near-term wins and durable foundations
- Bringing together engineering, design, data science, marketing, sales, and partnerships around clear priorities
- Defining success metrics, testing high-potential ideas, and scaling what works
You'll need 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning complex product areas and delivering meaningful outcomes. Strong technical fluency is essential—you'll own technically complex products involving APIs, data, and integrations while keeping customer value central. You should excel at turning ambiguous opportunities into clear strategies, understanding complex business workflows, and simplifying them into intuitive experiences. Analytical thinking, business acumen, and an AI-first mindset are critical. You'll influence and lead across multiple teams and external stakeholders, navigating different incentives to build alignment.
