Thumbtack is a home services marketplace connecting millions of homeowners with local service professionals. The Pro Activation & Success team builds products that help service businesses discover, get started, and grow on the platform.
In this role, you'll own the product vision and strategy for serving larger, more sophisticated service businesses—a major growth opportunity. You'll shape how Thumbtack evolves to meet the needs of complex, multi-person operations that require integrations with their existing business tools and foundational capabilities to succeed at scale.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for this high-value segment, with accountability for customer and business outcomes
- Conducting deep research to understand how larger pros operate, identifying unmet needs and growth opportunities
- Setting strategy for APIs, data integrations, and partner offerings in collaboration with partnerships and business development teams
- Leading new products from discovery through launch and adoption, adapting Thumbtack's originally small-business-focused platform for enterprise-grade needs
- Partnering with engineering on technical tradeoffs between near-term wins and durable foundations
- Bringing together engineering, design, data science, marketing, sales, and partnerships around clear priorities
- Defining success metrics, testing high-potential ideas, and scaling what works
You'll need 5+ years of product management experience with a track record of owning complex product areas and delivering meaningful outcomes. Strong technical fluency is essential—you'll own APIs, data integrations, and system architecture decisions. You should excel at turning ambiguous opportunities into clear strategies, understand complex business workflows, and have strong analytical and business acumen. An AI-first mindset and proven ability to influence across organizational boundaries and external stakeholders are critical.
