Rippling is a unified platform for HR, IT, and Finance that automates the entire employee lifecycle—from payroll and benefits to computer provisioning and third-party app setup. The company has raised $1.85B+ from top-tier investors and is headquartered in San Francisco. You will lead the Payroll Integrations product team, owning an end-to-end product surface that transforms complex payroll activity into accurate accounting data. Your core mission is to build the next generation of accounting automations using AI—generating journal entries, syncing payroll data to ERPs, catching errors before they reach the ledger, and helping finance teams close their books faster. Key responsibilities: - Set vision and roadmap for Payroll Integrations, a product area serving some of Rippling's largest and most complex payroll customers - Own the full product experience from customer setup through reliable data flow into downstream finance systems - Integrate AI into real customer workflows to help finance teams catch issues earlier, recover faster, and reduce manual work - Partner with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to translate messy operational problems into scalable products - Build for complex customers first, then generalize learnings to serve thousands more - Make thoughtful prioritization calls across customer commitments, platform reliability, and strategic AI investments You will work closely with customer-facing teams to understand payroll and finance workflows, then design products that make those workflows simpler and more reliable at scale. REQUIREMENTS: - 4+ years of product management experience, ideally with exposure to payroll, accounting, finance systems, integrations, data platforms, or B2B SaaS workflows - Systems thinking: ability to understand messy real-world workflows, model underlying data and state transitions, and design products that scale beyond the first customer - Technical judgment: understand how data moves through complex systems, identify failure points, and partner with engineering to build reliable, scalable, trustworthy products - Customer empathy and judgment: separate loud symptoms from root causes and build what customers actually need - Ability to operate in ambiguity, make tradeoffs, and drive alignment across engineering, design, support, implementation, and GTM teams - Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to make complex payroll-accounting concepts understandable to engineers, customers, executives, and GTM teams - Bias for ownership and follow-through; you own whether workflows work in production, not just whether features ship
