Salary: USD 195,000 - 225,000 / annual
Spot AI is building AI coworkers for the physical world, turning cameras into intelligent agents that help businesses understand, automate, and act across their environments in real time. The company serves over 1,000 customers across manufacturing, construction, logistics, and retail, with over 10,000 active locations. Manufacturing is the strongest growth driver, with AI Ops Assistants and autonomous agents actively deployed on production lines at major national manufacturers.
You will own execution for the manufacturing agents product line, converting existing customer momentum into a scalable enterprise product. This role requires identifying high-impact customer challenges, developing reusable platform capabilities, and transforming custom implementations into repeatable solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Engaging directly with clients, account executives, sales engineers, channel partners, and field teams to map workflows, operational friction, budget parameters, and success metrics
- Identifying top-tier use cases by evaluating strategic value and recommending priorities
- Transforming custom, single-client solutions into standardized product features that scale across multiple facilities and organizations
- Partnering directly with engineering teams on AI models, evaluation pipelines, system architecture, and iterative prototyping
- Owning technical prioritization for your product area, deciding what features to develop, postpone, or reject
- Establishing an end-to-end framework spanning discovery, proof-of-concept testing, full production rollout, and commercial scaling
- Aligning with sales, marketing, and customer success leadership on market positioning, pricing models, demonstrations, and ROI case studies
This is a hands-on builder role. Successful product managers at Spot AI collaborate closely with engineering to resolve technical tradeoffs, conduct direct plant floor evaluations, and launch products that achieve sustained operational adoption. You will work in complex, unstructured environments and partner with operational leaders who manage intricate workflows and demand immediate, measurable value from technology.
The role is based in-office at 650 5th St. (near Oracle Park) in San Francisco, with occasional travel to customer sites.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record of directly building and delivering B2B products from concept to market adoption and revenue growth, whether as a founder, product manager, technical product lead, or forward-deployed engineer
- Demonstrated ability to move quickly and ship under resource constraints
- Strong grasp of AI model behavior in practical deployments, including accuracy trade-offs, false positives, latency, and cost
- Hands-on problem-solving approach: actively prototypes, analyzes data, and works directly alongside engineering teams
- Customer and commercial orientation; eager to collaborate with sales teams and customers to unearth key insights
- Strong interpersonal and technical credibility; ability to navigate conversations ranging from deep technical reviews with engineers to onsite customer meetings
- Sharp instincts for separating unique customer requests from repeatable, platform-level features
- Clear and impactful communication; ability to convert ambiguity into crisp product requirements and compelling business models
- Background in computer vision, video AI, industrial automation, robotics, or forward-deployed engineering is a strong plus
- Must be willing and able to work on-site from the San Francisco office location
