Gradient Labs is building an AI customer operations platform for financial services, working with major banking and fintech companies. The platform deploys specialist AI agents to automate customer support and back-office operations, giving product and operations teams visibility and control over outcomes.
This is a 0-1 product role where you'll be Gradient's first dedicated PM hire, partnering directly with the Head of Product. You'll own the full product experience and have real scope to shape the roadmap and vision.
Key responsibilities include:
- Translating technically complex AI problems into clear, shippable priorities
- Partnering closely with engineers to understand trade-offs and make well-reasoned product decisions
- Bringing structure to ambiguous, least-defined parts of the business
- Setting and maintaining a high bar for product quality across releases
- Reasoning about how AI agent workflows function and their implications for product design
You'll thrive if you have a track record of taking on 0-1 problems and driving them to shipped outcomes, whether at early-stage startups or larger companies. Technical curiosity about AI is essential, though prior AI product experience is not required. The role values fast progression, adaptability across business areas, and an unrealistically high personal bar for excellence.
The team includes builders from Monzo, Wise, Mastercard, Revolut, and Google. You'll work on cutting-edge technology that's reshaping how businesses operate, tackling challenging new problems with exciting brands across industries.
Compensation includes base salary (open to discussion based on experience), meaningful equity, private medical and dental insurance, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (or 32 days with opt-out), team socials and offsites, and flexible working. The London office supports hybrid work with an expectation of approximately one day per week in-office. Remote work within the UK is also considered.
