Adaptive Security is a Series B cybersecurity startup ($146.5M raised, led by Bain Capital Ventures with backing from NVIDIA, a16z, OpenAI Fund, and others) founded by repeat entrepreneurs Brian Long and Andrew Jones (Attentive, TapCommerce). The company is building an AI-native platform to defend organizations against AI-powered cyberattacks, combining personalized security training, AI-driven attack simulations, and automated threat triage powered by the Adaptive Risk Intelligence Engine. The platform is trusted by top banks, tech companies, and healthcare organizations to protect against emerging threats like deepfakes, smishing, and voice scams.
As Product Manager, you will own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for one or more core products. You'll be accountable for shipping exceptional products quickly as the company scales to 2,000+ customers and millions of employees on the platform. Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the product roadmap, prioritizing ruthlessly based on customer impact, business value, and technical feasibility, and defending your bets to leadership and go-to-market teams.
- Serving as the voice of the customer through discovery calls, support ticket analysis, and synthesizing insights into clear problem statements.
- Shipping products end-to-end: building prototypes, partnering with engineering and design on tradeoffs, and driving execution through launch. You are accountable for outcomes, not just output.
- Working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and customer success to shape positioning, enable GTM, and close the loop on customer feedback.
- Instrumenting and monitoring product metrics to validate hypotheses, catch problems early, and inform roadmap decisions.
- Staying sharp on cybersecurity and AI trends, monitoring competitor activity, and ensuring Adaptive stays ahead of market movement.
You'll use AI tools daily—drafting specs, pressure-testing ideas, synthesizing research, and prototyping solutions. The role is based in New York City and requires five days per week in the office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in a high-growth B2B SaaS startup.
- Strong sense of initiative, thoughtful synthesis of feedback, and swift adaptability when faced with ambiguity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and humility to learn from mistakes and collaborate with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver exceptional products.
- Expertise with AI tools: you actively use LLMs, AI coding agents, and similar tools in daily work, and find novel ways to leverage these tools to move faster.
- Builder's instinct: you default to building and prototyping rather than waiting for engineers to validate every idea.
