Glean is a Work AI platform that combines enterprise search, AI assistants, and scalable AI agents on a secure, open platform. The company serves 1,000+ employees across 50+ industries and has been recognized by Fast Company, CNBC, Bloomberg, Forbes, and Gartner as a leader in agentic AI.
As Product Manager for API Platform, you will own the strategy and execution of Glean's public APIs, SDKs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations for developers—both within customer organizations and at partner companies. This is a hands-on role that bridges product strategy with technical implementation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Design and evolve public APIs and SDKs with attention to versioning, deprecation, and backwards-compatibility commitments that developers can rely on.
• Architect the complete developer experience: authentication flows, onboarding, first API call, error handling, rate limiting, webhooks, and edge cases that determine whether developers succeed or abandon the platform.
• Write code yourself. Build sample applications, run integrations end-to-end, and identify rough edges before customers encounter them.
• Review and improve documentation with a developer's eye—fix inaccuracies, fill gaps, and ensure clarity.
• Analyze support tickets and community forums to identify patterns. Treat recurring questions as design problems, not documentation failures.
• Define and defend metrics that predict developer success: time-to-first-call, integration success rate, API error rates, and leading indicators of shipping velocity.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and partnerships to execute on roadmap and scale the developer ecosystem.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, deep empathy for developer workflows, and proven ability to ship robust, scalable infrastructure. You should be comfortable writing code, reading specs, and working cross-functionally with premier B2B product companies on partnership strategy.
